July

Here's what we were up to in July...

Every year we attend the South Salt Lake Firework Show. They always host it the day before the fourth, but since the fourth was on a Monday they had their fireworks on the second. We went with our friends and as always it was a great show! This was our first year reintroducing Wesley to fireworks. He has been terrified for the past couple of years and we were happy to discover he LOVES them now!
Waiting for the show to start

Beckett was all smiles at first...

but then wasn't too sure of the loud booms!

Gotta love fourth and fireworks!

On the actual fourth, I ran a 10k that morning with my friend Cozette. It was a crazy hot morning and it definitely wasn't my best race, although I did finish 3rd in my age group. Later that day we headed over to Rob's parents for a BBQ and fireworks. We had ourselves a grand ole time!

In the middle of the month we caught a concert at Red Butte Gardens with Hobby

For the 24th of July, we took the boys camping up Big Cottonwood Canyon. It was our first "real" time camping with them and we had a blast! We are definitely rookie campers and it definitely would have been more fun with more people, but we had some good quality family time!

At the end of July we took our friends {the Daines} up to Bear Lake. It wasn't the warmest weekend, but we still made a fun weekend out of it.

Rotten Rigby Reunion

I'm a little behind in blogging, so I'm trying to play catch up. Back in August, we had the 2nd Annual Rigby Family Reunion. We decided to kick off the reunion at Lagoon and then head up to Bear Lake for the rest of the weekend. I apologize for the million pictures that I posted. I finally figured out how to make a collage (I'm kind of technology retarded), when I was almost done uploading the pictures. So, I only made a collage of the Lagoon pictures.

My boys had a blast having my Mom and Dad at Lagoon with us.

Beckett got a little sick at Lagoon.. He kept crying and complaining about his tummy, but luckily after a little cat nap he perked up and felt a lot better.

The next day everyone headed up to the lake. We spent the next few days hanging out, eating, boating, playing games, and eating some more. It wouldn't be a Rigby Reunion without
delicious food!

Our little family in our reunion shirts. The shirts were one of my favorite things about the reunion! We took a huge group photo in them. The front said, The Rotten Rigby Family Reunion, and the back said...

This Stinks! Why am I here?

The inspiration behind the shirts...my Grandpa! He is one of the funniest guys I know, but can be quite grumpy. "This stinks! Why am I here?" is something he would definitely say!

We had a ton of fun and can't wait until next year! Thanks to everyone who made it a huge success!
