Take me out to the ball game!

Last week my Dad invited us to go to the Salt Lake Bee's game with him. I wasn't able to go because of a meeting, but Rob and Wesley went and had a fun time! Wesley has been obsessed with baseball recently and Rob said it was a lot of fun to watch Wesley get so excited over every little thing. Every time anyone would start clapping, Wesley would turn to Rob and ask if the game was over.

Yummy!

As they were leaving the game, one of the ushers handed Wesley one of the foul balls that had gone over the building. He was so EXCITED! Wesley talked about the baseball game for days after! Thanks again Dad for the invite! (Sorry that there aren't any pictures of you!)

Rigby Reunion '09

Last weekend we headed up to Bear Lake for a family reunion. We held it at our cabin and I think it was the most people we have had up at the lake in a LONG LONG time!!! My cousin Kristen, who lives up in Washington, planned most of it and it turned out great! We spent the weekend swimming, playing on the beach, planning games, and of course EATING A TON!!! Everyone knows it would not be a Rigby get together without eating a ton of DELICIOUS food! I think I gained 5 lbs alone! One of the main reasons we had the reunion last weekend was because it was my sweet Grandma's 84th birthday and we thought it would be fun to spend it all together. Here are some pictures that captured our fun filled weekend:

We started the birthday festivities with a good of game of water balloon toss...

This "almost" catch from Rob lost the round for us. It was probably
a bad throw from me as well!

After the balloon toss we moved onto Human Foosball. This was a first time experience for Rob and I, and I would have to say it is a new favorite! We had Team Truman against Team Glenny Mae and it got extremely competitive near the end. Team Truman ended up with the victory :(

After a delicious BBQ, we had a pinata for the little ones.

Beckett started it off...

After only 5 or 6 kids, the pinata was demolished!

Overall it was a great weekend and I can't wait for the reunion next year!

Temple Dedication

We had the wonderful opportunity on Friday (thanks to my bro-in-law Brady!) to attend the first dedication session for the new Oquirrh Mountain Temple. It was an amazing experience I will never forget! When we walked into the temple, we were led to a sealing room and took our seats. After sitting for a few minutes, I was overwhelmed with a wonderful spirit and my eyes filled with tears. I felt so humbled and blessed to be sitting in such a beautiful temple with my wonderful husband for such a wonderful event. Friday was also our dear Prophet's birthday and it was fun to be in the temple with him on his special day. Our Prophet is one sweet man with an amazing sense of humor. During the sealing of the cornerstone, the Prophet had a microphone on and we were able to hear everything he said. He would make jokes left and right and had everyone laughing inside and outside of the temple. The Prophet has an amazing countenance about him and I have no doubt in my mind that he is a man of God. The dedication service is something I will never forget. The spirit was so strong and my heart was so full!
We are in the district for this new temple and we have had the amazing opportunity to serve at the open house for the past couple of months. My testimony of the importance of temples has grown and I can't wait to attend our new temple and continue to feel the love our Heavenly Father has for each one of us!

Little Man starts Preschool

All ready for school!
(And thanks to this picture, I found two little hand print smudges on my wall, which are not seen by the naked eye!)
Wesley started preschool today. I can hardly believe it! I have been anticipating this day for the past year. But now that it's here, I can honestly say I am a little sad about it. I am really excited to have a break for a couple of hours two times a week, but I am also sad that my little man is growing up so fast! Why does time fly by faster and faster as the years go on? Today wasn't too depressing, it was just an orientation day and I stayed with Wes the whole time. I think I will definitely have a harder time on Monday when I leave him all by himself!
Wesley listening intently!
(Thanks to Dede for this adorable picture and the one below it!)

Wesley and his friend Chase

I have to admit, I am a little frightened for Wesley's teacher. He seemed to have more energy than the rest of the kids in his class, and even managed to break something in the hour we were there (oops!). I'm just praying that after class on Monday she won't hand him over and tell me he is no longer welcome! I might be exagerating a little bit...but he is quite the handful sometimes!

Wesley coloring the outline I made of him

It was a fun morning! All the kids were being so cute! Some of them were more shy and hesitant, while others were excited and more out going. (I bet you can guess which category Wesley falls in!) I hope Wesley has a great first year of preschool! He is already one smart cookie and I can't wait to see what else he learns.

LaGoOn!!!

This past Saturday we decided to take the boys to Lagoon. I have wanted to go all summer long and we scored some discount tickets and decided that we couldn't pass it up! Saturday turned out to be a perfect day for Lagoon. The forecast said it was supposed to be rainy and cold, but like usual, they were wrong and it was perfect~ mid 70's all day! The boys overall had a great time! Wesley had a scare right when we got there and I thought it had ruined him for the day. The first ride he rode started out great, but half way through he got spooked, and it took him awhile to warm up to the rides again.

First ride ~ Before

After

This was the first time I have ever been to Lagoon without riding all the rides. Taking kids really changes the dynamic for having fun. Although I only got to ride a few rides here and there (most of them being kiddie rides), I had a lot of fun! I really enjoyed watching my boys having all the fun! Watching their faces light up and hearing their squeals made it all worth it!

Famous Beckett "Cheese" Face

It is hilarious to watch Wesley on the bumper cars...he just spins in circles!
It had been a couple of years since Rob and I had been to Lagoon, and there was a new ride that we hadn't been on before that was a family favorite! The Odyssea! Even Beckett was able to ride this ride and I think we rode it the most over any other ride! Wesley loved that the dolphins and shark would squirt him with water. He came off the ride giggling every time.

Me and Wes on the Odyssea

Beckett was all giggles as well! He looks so tiny!

Wes and Rob

This is how Beckett spent most of the day. If he wasn't on a ride, he was chowing down!
Later on in the day our good friends, the Arbuckles joined us! Wesley and his buddy Carter got to ride together on all the rides. They were in heaven!

It was a very LONG, but super fun day! I don't think we left the park until after 11pm! The boys were pretty well behaved. We only had a couple of incidents, including a pretty funny poop accident including Rob. If you want to hear the story, you'll have to ask me about it! I think Rob and I are going to head back to Lagoon again this weekend (thanks to bounceback!), without the kids and ride all the big kid rides. We can't wait!

Not a whole lot going on here...

So, Rob got on my case the other day because I haven't updated our blog in FOREVER! Well, not forever but I guess it's been over a month. Not a whole lot has been going on with our little family. July was a super busy month with a lot of fun things going on. It has been so hot the past few weeks that the boys and I have been swimming 2-3 times a week. They love it and I guess I can't complain! We also took a trip up to Bear Lake during the month of July, which was a lot of fun! We hung out with the fam and even spent some time with friends that were up there too! Even though there are a few weeks left of summer, it feels like it is coming to an end. This year, our summer is going to end with a BANG! We have two family reunions within the same weekend. Stay tuned to hear about that crazy weekend! I guess I'll end this boring post with some cute pictures of our boys.

Here's Wesley. We like to call him our "special" son!

Here's both of our boys being special!

Wesley did not want to take off his goggles the WHOLE weekend!

Silly Beckett dove head first into the freezing lake!

It was chilly that day and the boys were cold and tuckered

Wesley playing his new favorite sport...baseball

These last few pictures were taken on the 24th of July at my parents house.

Here is Wesley throwing a tantrum. He wanted me to help him pull up his pants but I told him he had to be a big boy and do it himself. He didn't like that idea!

Look at that sweet face!!!

We lit off some of our own fireworks that night and Wesley freaked out! He truly is terrified of fireworks. I think he must have sensitive ears. This is how we found him. Curled up and sleeping next to my dad!

Well...here's to a new post! Hope you are happy honey!
