We had the wonderful opportunity on Friday (thanks to my bro-in-law Brady!) to attend the first dedication session for the new Oquirrh Mountain Temple. It was an amazing experience I will never forget! When we walked into the temple, we were led to a sealing room and took our seats. After sitting for a few minutes, I was overwhelmed with a wonderful spirit and my eyes filled with tears. I felt so humbled and blessed to be sitting in such a beautiful temple with my wonderful husband for such a wonderful event. Friday was also our dear Prophet's birthday and it was fun to be in the temple with him on his special day. Our Prophet is one sweet man with an amazing sense of humor. During the sealing of the cornerstone, the Prophet had a microphone on and we were able to hear everything he said. He would make jokes left and right and had everyone laughing inside and outside of the temple. The Prophet has an amazing countenance about him and I have no doubt in my mind that he is a man of God. The dedication service is something I will never forget. The spirit was so strong and my heart was so full!
We are in the district for this new temple and we have had the amazing opportunity to serve at the open house for the past couple of months. My testimony of the importance of temples has grown and I can't wait to attend our new temple and continue to feel the love our Heavenly Father has for each one of us!

What an awesome experience! We are seriously so blessed to have three temples all within short miles from our homes! This makes me feel bad that I don't attend it more often :(
