OUCH!

I think one of the most painful things in life is stubbing your toe. I may be a wimp but when I stub my toe I can't help screaming out in pain and sometimes tears even stream from my eyes. On Monday, I was in the kitchen doing the dishes. I could hear Beckett crawling closer to the kitchen. I looked over and saw him crawling towards our laundry room. We usually keep the door closed to that room because that is where we keep our dog's food dishes. Well, the door was open and so I went running as fast as I could to grab Beckett before he put a handful of yummy dog food in his mouth. As I approached him, I hit my toes on the door frame. I immediately screamed out in pain! And it hurt SO badly that I continued screaming for the next few minutes. I completely terrified Beckett, and Wesley came running out of my room asking if I was ok. By then the tears were flowing and I was sitting on the floor holding my throbbing pinky toe. Throughout the rest of the afternoon I hobbled around with a throbbing toe. We had to go run some errands and wearing shoes caused the most excruciating pain. When I got home from running errands, I took off my shoes and noticed that my toe had turned a little purple. This may be gross, but I took a picture of it and sent it to Rob. I wanted a little sympathy.

Later on that day, I had to run over to my sister's house. I showed her my toe and she told me she thought it was broken. I was skeptical. But it didn't really matter because they don't do anything for a broken toe except tape it. I then was worried if my toe would affect my running. I had a three mile run planned that night, and I was hoping I could bare through the pain. I headed to Layton to run with my friend Jess and I'm happy to report that I did make it through our run that night. I feel bad because I probably slowed Jess down. After our run I looked at my toe again and it had doubled in size and was a bright purple/pinkish color. It looked disgusting! It is starting to feel better, but it is still enormous! I have another run planned for tonight and hopefully it won't bother me. I've decided to include some disgusting pictures. I apologize for my ugly feet!

This was taken a couple of hours after I stubbed it. This was Monday night before I went to bed. These last two were taken on Tuesday morning. Look how fat it is!!!

Holy cow. I think it is so weird that the smallest appendages can cause so much pain. Stubbing my toe makes me so ornery. You are rocking at the running though. I need to go so bad! I hope you feel better soon!
